4 Top dreaming routes in Gran Canaria

Discovering Gran Canaria is talking about unique cycling routes.

This island of around 855,000 inhabitants is one of the most important tourist destinations in Spain, with a flow of travelers of around five million tourists per year.

We know that many of these tourists have a taste for cycling vacations, so there are four cycling routes you can take when planning a Gran Canaria getaway.

Table of Contents

  1. Pico de las Nieves
  2. Ayagaures
  3. Tamadaba: Agaete - Tamadaba MTB
  4. Mogán - Las Presas

1. Pico de las Nieves

A course of less than 30 km seems easy, doesn't it? But when you collect more than 1,800 meters of vertical height with 23% slopes, it gets complicated. One of the stages of the Gran Canaria Bike Week which takes place on a timescale.

2. Ayagaures

The ascent of Monte León in Ayagaures, with a visit to its reservoir, is another must route if you are visiting Gran Canaria.

3. Tamadaba: Agaete - Tamadaba MTB

Gran Canaria also has very interesting MTB routes. But ... to practice only on authorized trails. A route to enjoy spectacular views between the cliffs and vegetation of Tamadaba Natural Park.

4. Mogán - Las Presas

On this route, which starts at Mogán, a symbolic city of cycling and triathlon in Gran Canaria, we will add more than 2000 meters in height on a route between the hairpin bends and the dams of the island.
