3 road bike routes in Águilas
The Murcia region has beautiful road cycling spots, and this article takes us to this municipality on the Costa Cálida, Águilas.
Cycle routes of three different levels so that all those who want to do this sport have an alternative:
With truly unique sections and sea views during the first part of this 71 km route, it takes us between two of the towns most engaged in active tourism in the region, Águilas and Pulpí (especially in San Juan de la Terreros). The only difficulty is Puerto Carril, although it is a very long climb, suitable for all levels.
Águilas – Campo López – Morata
We have raised the level of this 89.4 km cycle route, for which we need a little more physical preparation and which takes us from the start through the Parque Natural Cabo Cope y Puntas de Calnegre before reaching the more than 16 km of Alto del Campo López from Las Librilleras.
On the way back to Águilas via the town of Morata, we will always have favorable terrain except for a small slope in the Cabo Cope area.
And to finish this post, the last route through Águilas is of a higher level, a very demanding route of 161 km.
From sea level to over a thousand meters passing through Almendricos or Tonosa, to reach the Andalusian town of Vélez Rubio and enjoy mostly favorable terrain. The major difficulty is the climb to Campo López before returning in Aguilas.
