If you’re looking for a cafe where bikes can be seen everywhere, Velosol cycling cafe is probably one of the most atmospheric. Bikes, jerseys, rims, cycling history photos… and bike groupsets galore. Some describe this place, which is also a shop, even as a kind of museum.
It is located in a strategic municipality, starting point to many routes, Jalón, in the province of Alicante and a short distance from cycling towns such as Calpe, Jávea and Altea. You’ll be met at all times by friendly and welcoming staff, and you can take your coffee stop there, take a break to eat and drink one of the Flanders beers (the owners are a family of Flemish Belgians, in case you had any doubt), contemplating every corner of this bar where many professional cyclists have already passed through in their relatively short path.
Located at Carrer Esglèsia 14, 03727 in Xaló, Alicante.
Another very popular Coffee Stop is Café Ciclista, which, as its name suggests, is a café designed for cyclists. Located in Denia, Alicante, its location is perfect for heading to one of Alicante’s iconic ascents or touring the Costa Blanca. In addition, this cafeteria has a tool workshop so that anyone who wishes can tune up their bicycle, and their breakfasts will surely help you to have plenty of energy for your cycling route.
Located at Carretera de les Marines in Dénia, 16.
At Baker & Co. Urban Casual Café they define themselves as “a restaurant with a passion for breakfast”. And we already know that cyclists are also very passionate about breakfasts, so when you combine the passion for good products with the passion for good cuisine, you have the perfect combination.
Inspired by European cafés with an open kitchen system throughout the day, here you can enjoy healthy, natural and organic products, always looking for quality from local suppliers.
We can find a good variety of coffees and teas, smoothies, pancakes, bowls, the classic eggs Benedict, a wide variety of toasts, the most complete breakfasts and brunches, burgers with which our mouths are watering while we are writing this…..
Located at Av. de la Condomina 46.
If you are looking for a coffee shop that roasts its own coffee, Madness Coffee is undoubtedly one of the best options. In its hipster-looking premises you’ll find a cosy space to enjoy good quality coffee, wide variety of breakfasts, cakes, lunches, teas, Kombucha and, if the day takes its toll, try Yakka craft beers (yes, we know we’re talking about coffees in this post, but who can deny you the pleasure of tasting a good beer?).
Located at Calle San Nicolás 4, near the port of Alicante.
In the town of Alcalalí, also at a strategic point for many routes, is the Musette Café, a cycling bar where customers highlight its pastries and good coffee. It is another one of those bars that is ideal for cyclists where it is not unusual to see some of the big names in professional cycling. An example of this is Mathieu Van der Poel, who was there a few weeks before winning his second Tour of Flanders in 2022.
Located at Placa Mosquera, 2.
