Hotel Cap Negret: home to the Costa Blanca Bike Race

On November 4, 2021, the expected 7th edition of the Costa Blanca Bike Race, an MTB event that is gaining more followers every year. For the occasion, Hotel Cap Negret is the official location.

The race should have taken place at the start of the year, but due to COVID, the organizers had to postpone it.

It should also be noted that, compared to previous years, it will be individual, although the organization gives the possibility of registering in pairs.

Although the follow-up of the various stages has not yet been published, it has been announced that one of them will be the ascent in chrono to the antennas of Albir. If you don’t know it yet, we encourage you to google “the hardest paved kilometer in Europe” and you will have the answer.

 

As for the rest of the routes, it has been revealed that they will be 45-65 km stages, with positive slopes of 1,500-2,100m. Four stages will pass through towns such as Polop, Finestrat, Alfaz del Pi, La Nucía, Callosa de Ensarriá and, of course, Altea. 

Due to the growth of MTB on the Costa Blanca, many prof teams have chosen to prepare for their winter season in the region.

For the third consecutive year, the nerve center of the race will be the Hotel Cap Negret. Considered one of the best hotels for cyclists in Europe, this Cycling Friendly hotel located in the town of Altea in Alicante has everything the cyclist needs: gym, swimming pool, physiotherapy area, washing facilities. bicycles, etc.

In addition, all stage departures and arrivals are only a few minutes from the hotel, to avoid cumbersome transfer times at the start and arrival of the race.

Hotel Cap Negret is located a few kilometers from Benidorm, 50 km from Alicante and 130 km from Valencia. The stages of this edition will take place within a maximum radius of 50 km around the hotel.
