Challenge Salou

In May 2025, Salou (Cataluña) hosts the Challenge Salou, a major event approved with the UCI seal in triathlon mode (Swimming, Cycling, Running).

Organized by the Ajuntament de Salou, this event is one of the most anticipated triathlons of the year in Tarragona.

The race

The Challenge Salou route, El recorrido, is divided into race formats (long, medium or short distance). All routes pass through the port area of Salou, including the beach and the center.

The one-loop swimming course takes place in shallow water in front of the beach and with a view of the Ebro Delta and the Serra de la Mussara. The bike route consists of three loops on the motorway, which allows high average speeds to be reached. And the 4-loop running course takes place almost exclusively by the sea, so you can get to know the Costa Daurada inside out.

Registrations

• The price of registrations varies from 149 euros for the short distance to 234 euros for the medium distance. In the event of team participation, the registration fee for the Challenge Saloud is 279 euros.
• Cancellation / return insurance can only be taken out when the registration is formalized; gives the right to a refund of 100% of the amount with the exception of management fees and the amount of insurance.
• Cancellations can or must be made in writing up to three weeks before the event (third Monday before the event). If this does not happen within this period, there is no right to a refund.
• Cancellations without return insurance made up to three weeks before the test give the right to a refund of 50% of the amount, excluding management fees.
• Cancellations or modifications of the itineraries or of one of its sections caused beyond the control of the organization do not imply the reimbursement of registration fees.
• Depending on weather conditions or force majeure leading to the modification of all or part of one of the sections of the event, the organization reserves the right to offer an alternative event over another distance and other routes depending on the circumstances. In any of these cases, the event will not be postponed, nor will it result in the reimbursement of the registration fees to the participant.
