Description
A new edition of the Álvaro Pino Classic cycling tour is scheduled for May 14, 2023 at 9:30 a.m., a race organized in the Galician town of Ponteareas with a route of 110 km, with start and finish in the Plaza de Bugallal.
This event took place for the first time in 1997, but it was not until 2001 that it adopted the name of Clásica Álvaro Pino, by agreement with this famous native of Ponteareas, winner of the Vuelta de España in 1986.
Registration
Registration fee for the Clásica Álvaro Pino is between 35 and 45 euros, according to the date of registration.
The stage
The route of the Clásica Álvaro Pino has a single distance of 110 km through the Condado de Paradanta, starting and finishing in Ponteareas and through Mondariz Balneario, Mondariz, Covelo, Cañiza, As Neves and Salvaterra. The route has three ascents: Piñeiro, Moncelo and Luneda respectively, the last one a first category climb of 9.8 km at 5.7%. The accumulated slope that the participants will have to challenge is 2,316 m.
