Deiadar Gravel
Description
On the weekend of September 18 and 19, 2021, the Deiadar Gravel will be held in Bizkaia, a self-sufficient event that participants have to overcome with the use of Gravel, Touring or Cyclocross type bikes.
Deiadar (or “the call of the horn”, its meaning in Basque). Gravel is the fruit of the passion for gravel that emerged in the region and originated in 2019.
The route and slope will only be confirmed a week before the event, although it is around 150km on Saturday and around 100km on Sunday. A maximum slope of 2,800 meters is expected, with a demanding but achievable route to be able to enjoy the surroundings of the region. It’s a non-competitive event that anyone can do at whatever pace they see fit.
There are shortcuts on the track for those who want a section and fewer kilometers, with the intention of adapting the experience to the level of each participant. In addition, even though it is a self-reliance test, the organization will offer surprising supply points.
On both days there are shortcuts for people who want to shorten a part of the route that is certainly no less spectacular than the entire route. The minimum age required will be 18 years old, the registration price for the challenge is 180 euros.
The services included with registration are:
- Welcome pack
- Official track with all important points of interest indicated.
- Provisioning during the course.
- Accommodation for Saturday evening.
- Saturday dinner in a restaurant.
- Sunday breakfast.
- Accident and CR insurance during the race.
