Description
The fifth edition of the Eroica Dolomiti is scheduled for September 3, 2023, starting from the village of San Candido, Val Pusteria. The most vintage Dolomiti event will allow participants to enjoy some of the most beautiful landscapes hidden in this Italian place, in an Eroica event where returning to the past is more than guaranteed.
This non-competitive event requires participants to ride historic or vintage-looking bicycles, as well as wear vintage bike clothing. Requirements designed to recreate the cycling of yesteryear, gravel, dust and cycle paths to be enjoyed without the need to compete.
Registration
Registration for any of the Eroica Dolomiti modalities costs 75 euros for the first 100 participants and 85 euros for the next 100 up to the limit of 500 participants. Members of the Eroica Cycle Club can register for 45 euros between March 1 and September 1.
Routes
Participants will have the possibility to choose between three different routes to enjoy this surprising event.
The Short fascinating route winds between Cortina, Passo delle tre Croci and Lago Misurina. A route that will make you appreciate the grandeur of the Dolomites and the view of the Tre Cime Di Lavaredo; 73 km with a slope of 1,258 m, 43 km of gravel and 30 km of asphalt.
The Medium route has 95 km, of which 45 are on gravel and 50 on asphalt, highlighting the ascent to Prato Piazza at more than 2,000 m. This modality has up to 5 aid stations.
The more daring can opt for the Long route, 118 km in which participants will know what it is like doing a difficult circuit on a vintage bike. 55 km of gravel and 63 km of asphalt with 6 aid stations and will lead participants to touch the sky first at Prato Piazza and then at the Cornetto di Confine.
