The event Kill the Hill is scheduled on May 6, 2023, the only cycling tour in Majorca that crowns the highest peak in Mallorca: Puig Major.

Starting at the Puerto de Pollença aerodrome, it has a 110 km route and 2,000 m slope, with 7 km timed in the ascent to Puig Major.

Why should you participate in Kill the Hill?

It's not every day that you have the opportunity to climb the Puig Major. Access to Mallorca's highest mountain is restricted as it is a military area. For this reason, enjoying an event that allows you to climb the highest peak on the island accompanied by 299 other cycling enthusiasts is quite an experience. Yes, this event is limited to a few, with 300 places available for this edition.

When is the next edition of Kill the Hill scheduled?

The 2023 edition of the Kill the Hill Cycling Event is scheduled on May 6.

What distances and what are the routes?

Kill the Hill has a unique distance of 110 km, starting from Pollença Air Base and arriving at Hotel VIVA Blue & Spa.

During the 110 km, in addition to the ascent to the Puig Major, the climb to the Coll de Femenía stands out, crossing Lluc, the Coll de Sa Batalla and Cúber. In total, we will accumulate more than 2,000 m of positive slope and a maximum 12.7%.

How much does it cost to participate and how can I sign up?

If you want to participate in the Kill the Hill cycling event, you can do so by paying a registration fee of 200 euros. The event is limited to 300 participants and includes insurance, an ABUS helmet, a racer's bag, 3 personal event photos, mechanical service during the event, breakfast for the athlete and an attendant at the Puerto de Pollença airfield, refreshments at Lluc and Puig Major, dinner for the participant and a companion at Hotel VIVA Blue and the final prize-giving evening.

Where can I rent a bike for Kill the Hill?

If you want to climb the Puig Major with a breathtaking bike, at Cycling Friendly we have a wide range of options for renting a road bike in Majorca. In many cases, you can also count on the possibility of having your bike delivered to the door of your accommodation. So you only have to worry about resting before testing yourself on the day of the event.

Where can I stay for Kill the Hill?

The Kill the Hill cycle tour starts in Pollença, where you can find both hotels and holiday homes adapted for cyclists, with a Cycling Center and bicycle repair tool workshop. The official accommodation of the event is Hotel VIVA Blue & Spa, the finishing line of the cycling tour.

In the same way, there are many locations close to the area such as Alcúdia or Playa de Muro where you can also find specialised accommodation. We all know how important it is to be located near the starting area of the event and in this case it won't be because of the offer :-).
