On September 24 and 25, 2021, the Lanzarote Bike Race journeys, MTB event divided into Cronoescalada Nocturna + Marathon which promises strong emotions to the participants.
Organized by the Club Deportivo HTT, both races will be held entirely in the municipality of Haría, coming from Arrieta. The Cronoescalada Nocturna will take place on Friday September 24 and will have a distance of 11 km; the Marathon stage will take place on September 25 and will have a distance of 60 km.
Participants can choose between Race mode, which gives them the right to participate in both events, or Marathon mode, which gives them the right to participate only in the September 25 event.
The start of the night time trial will take place at 8:00 p.m., while the start of the marathon stage will be at 10:00 a.m. Both with departure from Playa de la Garita in Arrieta.
The finish line of the night time trial will be at the Altos del Valle de Malpaso, while the finish line of the marathon race will also be at the same Playa de la Garita.
In race mode, participation can be individual or by teams, with at least 3 components in the case of participation by teams.
During the tour, participants can enjoy a trail that crosses dirt roads and paths and temporarily through asphalt areas. Entirely within the municipal fringe of La Haría, offering spectacular sites and natural monuments of the north of the island of Lanzarote.
In order to participate, it is mandatory to have a federal license or to subscribe to a one-day license that includes accident and liability insurance provided by the Organization.
Participants may register until Monday, September 20, 2021, or until there are no more places available, which this year has been set at 300.
Prices vary depending on the modality:
- Race in Individual mode: 40 euros for federated and 55 euros for non-federates.
- Team race: 35 euros for federated and 50 euros for non-federates.
- Race in Marathon mode: 30 euros for federated and 45 euros for non-federates.
- Participation in the race, control of the time chip with license plate and personalized number.
- Liquid and solid provisioning during the race.
- Medical aid and rescue and aid device.
- Accident and liability insurance.
- Traffic safety device.
- Runway lights.
- Winner’s cup and final medal.
- Gift to the racer.
- Massage service at the finish line (race mode).
- Mechanical assistance service.
- Bike wash.

The organization has established different categories for men and women, individually and in teams. The night time trial will include the Junior, Sub23, Elite and Master categories. Marathon distance: Junior, Sub23, Elite, Master.
The organization will provide refreshment stations during the race and will signpost the route in the most convenient way. Among other things, it will signpost the sections of the course that present hard or potentially dangerous slopes so that participants can take extreme precautions. For the marathon race, a control closure will be established at 02:30 p.m.
The Night Team Time Trial will be run jointly and the team time will be set by the last member to cross the finish line. The team start will be after the conclusion of the individual start. In the Marathon distance, all team members must compete in a peloton and pass through the race and finish line controls with a difference of no more than 15 seconds between the first and last member.
