Alt Empordà – Stage 2 (Llançà – Figueres)

Cycling stage from Llançà that runs along the coast and punctually reaches France. Short and smooth climbs except Banyuls, where the slopes reach 20%.

We continue cycling inland with some ascent. We cross the Lagos de La Jonquera where we relive sensations of classic races such as the Strade Bianche.

Once we have overcome the slopes of La Vajol, we head towards Darnius. In the background, the Cima del Bassegoda announces a change of region. It is the Alta Garrotxa, with its forest cover that is lost beyond our sight.

We, however, turned towards the Empordà plain and our final destination, Figueres.
