Playa de Muro – Formentor
Description
One of the mandatory routes for all cyclists visiting the island of Majorca. A route with a great panoramic view over a 71 km long road section of intermediate level.
Starting from the Muro beach, near the S’Albufera Natural Park to Alcudia, where you can visit the Roman ruins dating back to 123 BC. The route continues to the port of Pollença, on a flat stretch with a landscape of sea and mountains along the Bay of Pollença. Once past the harbor, take the road to Formentor towards Sa Talaia D’albercutx, the main climb of the route and a privileged lookout point on the Formentor peninsula with a slope of 350m but with the most beautiful panoramic view in the world.
At this point you will return to the main road after the Faro de Formentor (lighthouse). Surrounded by mountains you reach the lighthouse, the icing on the cake, a peninsula that offers a perfect symbiosis between nature and art.
Return the same route without detour to Sa Talaia D’albercutx.
