4 cycling routes to discover the Serra de Tramuntana
One of the cycling treasures of Majorca is without a doubt the Serra de Tramuntana.
This World Heritage Site is the spot where cycling lovers can find many of the hardest climbs on the island.
Here are 4 routes to discover the most wonderful corners of our Serra de Tramuntana:
1. Inca – Sa Calobra
A route of 70 km and about 2000 m of positive slope to one of the best cycling climbs in the world, Sa Calobra. A curvy snake of spectacular beauty. A route where we will also pass through the Coll de sa Batalla, part of the Puig Major (Escorca) and the Coll dels Reís. Wishing for more?
2. Playa de Muro – Formentor
If you search for pictures of Cap de Formentor on Instagram, you will likely find more than one cyclist who has framed the top of this route. However, we encourage you to put the camera aside and try to enjoy one of the routes with the best panoramic views in the world. 71 unique kilometers departing from Playa de Muro of medium-high level. Do you know about the Stendhal syndrome? Be careful not to suffer from it along the way.
3. Gran Hotel Son Net – Serra de Tramuntana
An example of how Cycling Friendly has reached hotels to inform their customers about routes in Majorca; in this case a route experiencing the south of the Serra through Galilea. Ready to discover wonderful villages?
4. Serra de Tramuntana
We’ve already seen some of the main routes, but why not cycle from here to there? On this route we go from Pollença to Andratx, exploring the different municipalities of the Serra de Tramuntana.
