Etapa 2 de la Ruta dels Bons Homes

Description

Brief stage that combines clues and stretches of asphalt, avoiding the original GR-107 route and developing completely in the Moixeró Cadí Natural Park. The excellent views and an impressive ending add interest to the route. Although this stage is shorter than usual, it offers the opportunity to enjoy a rest afternoon in Bagà. However, it presents a long and physically demanding climb, forcing us to descend from the bicycle at specific times to overcome impossible ramps or to rest briefly. Starting from Gósol, our first objective is the Coll de Josa (1632m), mostly reached by asphalted road. We descend by asphalt to the bridge of Cemeros (km 6), at which time we take the track that goes into the Cemeres Valley until we reach Collell (1843m) and the Coll de Les Bassotes (1872m). Although the initial section of this track is comfortable to pedal, the hardest ramps appear as we gain height, some with inclinations that exceed 20%. Upon arriving at Coll de les Bassotes, we have the ascension to the 1925m level, from where a long descent of almost 18 km awaits us. This descent is fully carried out by wide track, without technical difficulties, allowing us to contemplate the impressive walls of the north face of the imposing Pedraforca, to enter the forests that will accompany us until the end of the descent. At the lowest point, we cross the Bastareny river and face the last climb of the day, one kilometer in length and by asphalted road. Before arriving at Bagà, we are awaited a surprising section by the Nicolás route, an old railway layout used to transport wood from Gisclareny to Guardiola de Berguedà.
