E-bike Holidays worthwhile?

Purists will say that eBiking is not cycling, but is it worth planning an eBike vacation?

Sweating on climbs, undergoing the toughest ramps, feeling the pain in the legs after a few kilometres, feeling out of breath… all of these sensations are more or less felt on a cycling getaway.

But what if all of the above were not necessary to enjoy a cycling experience? What if instead of making a titanic effort to conquer the hardest climb, we had a little extra push? What if we could get less tired, cover the same kilometers and enjoy the scenery a lot more? Yes, this is where our plea for an eBiking holiday starts.

Plea for eBiking holidays

  1. You have more energy to enjoy a cycling day
  2. Forget about bonking
  3. You don’t need a sculptural body to create an amazing route
  4. One can challenge impossible climbs
  5. You can plan a cycling holiday with people of different paces
  6. An eBike holiday can be the first step towards new challenges
  7. It’s still sport and it’s still healthy

You have more energy to enjoy a cycling day

Road eBike

Suffering to achieve our goals is a very nice overcoming story and blablabla… But there is nothing wrong if we put aside this more competitive spirit and turn to a slower cycling way to enjoy the spectacular scenery on our routes, allowing us to stop wherever we want and, in short, not leaving us in bed for a week.

Forget about bonking

eBike de carretera

You feel that moment when the man with the hammer is there? And how little illusion it is if at the key moment of the route your head suddenly clicks and your legs no longer react. Well, there’s that little e-bike boost to make things a little easier and save your life at the right time.

You don’t need a sculptural body to create an amazing route

eBike MTB

eBikes go one step further so that cycling tourism becomes a sporting experience accessible to a much broader public. You don’t need to have a body carved by the gods or be in the shape of an elite athlete to enjoy a placid mileage on an eBike, whether on the road or in the mountains. Cycling is no longer something only within the reach of the pros, but also within the reach of cycling lovers.

One can challenge impossible climbs

eBike Montaña

You may have been cycling for quite a few years, but your legs are no longer good enough to climb that mountain pass, which was a formality in your youth. But what if, thanks to the eBike, you could once again feel what it’s like to climb that summit on your bike?

The eBike allows us to reach heights that may not be possible due to our abilities without extra help.

You can plan a cycling holiday with people of different paces

eBike

Sometimes it is not easy to find someone to organize a cycling trip at your same level. However, eBikes make it possible to balance two people who may not be at the same pace when cycling. It is even possible to plan trips in which some people ride eBikes while others use conventional bicycles without an electric motor.

An eBike holiday can be the first step towards new challenges

eBike MTB

Can eBiking become the first cycling experience for some? Of course, yes, there are many people who dare to experience a cycling holiday for the first time on an eBike. And if the trip is one of those that remain in the memory, an eBike trip may herald the birth of this little cycling enthusiast’s creature. An eBike commuter can end up being a conventional road or MTB commuter.

It’s still sport and it’s still healthy

Vacaciones en eBike

eBikes are an important addition to our cycling routes. However, they do not cycle alone; we have to pedal and practice. That’s why it can be said that eBiking is also a sport.

Whether or not we have convinced you that an eBike holiday is worth it, we encourage you to take a look at some of the ebikes you can rent in destinations such as Mallorca, Girona or Asturias.
