IRONMAN 70.3 Marbella

A new edition of the IRONMAN 70.3 Marbella event for triathletes is scheduled on May 7 2023. The privileged location between the Mediterranean and the Andalusian mountains makes this place one of the most idyllic. The race offers qualifying places for the IRONMAN 70.3 2022 Taupo New Zealand World Championship.

The route

The route starts with the swimming modality. Swimming in a single 1900 meter loop across the Mediterranean, with departure and arrival at the famous Levante beach in Puerto Banús.

After the first section, the 90 kilometer cycle route begins at the famous "Golden Mile", crossing Marbella until the ascent of Puerto de Ojén. This route passes through the towns of Monda, Coín and Cartama before returning to Puerto Banús for the last section, the running circuit.

The running circuit consists of two laps around the Paseo Marítimo in Marbella, with a final 21.1 kilometer on which the athlete can enjoy the support of the fans before reaching the finish line on the sandy beach itself of Playa de Puerto.
