Mareas Ideales para Lecciones
The Milano-Sanremo Amatori is a non-competitive amateur ride over the route of the Milan–San Remo classic, scheduled for Sunday 6 June 2027. The organiser calls it the 56th amateur edition and describes it as the longest amateur cycling event in the world. Riders set off from a hotel in Settala, on the outskirts of Milan in Lombardy, and finish on Corso Salvo d’Acquisto in Sanremo, on the Ligurian Riviera. It is a mass start in numbered grids, and the regulation states that the event is not a race, no overall ranking is drawn up and the roads are not closed to traffic.
Rutas y distancias
There is a single route, and the organiser publishes the following figures for it.
The Milano-Sanremo Amatori covers about 296 km, and the organiser gives no total elevation gain. The climbs on its altimetry page are, in order, Colle del Giovo (5.7 km, 2.7% average), Capo Mele, Capo Cervo, Capo Berta, Cipressa (5.6 km, 4.1%) and Poggio di Sanremo (3.7 km, 3.5%).
The route page and GPX still describe the 2026 edition, which followed the 2025 professional race. The organiser’s pages quote about 296 km (home page), about 300 km (route page) and 309 km (timetable), so treat the distance as approximate until the 2027 GPX is published.
In 2026 the route left Milan across the Lombard plain, passing through Pavia and Voghera before entering Piedmont at Tortona and Novi Ligure, then Liguria at Sassello. Most of the first 180 km or so is plain and gently rolling, and the climbing comes late.
The first real climb is the Colle del Giovo, with sections up to 8%. From the top the road drops to the Riviera di Ponente at Albissola, about 200 km into the ride, then follows a flat stretch of around 60 km before the three capes of Capo Mele, Capo Cervo and Capo Berta come one after another.
The final act is the pair of climbs that decide the professional race. After Cipressa and the Poggio di Sanremo, the finish on Corso Salvo d’Acquisto is close.

Practical notes: the regulation sets a time limit of 12 hours from the start. Refreshments are included in the entry fee; the 2026 timetable marks a feed station at Predosa and one at the finish, with a water point at Capo Berta. A rigid, homologated helmet is mandatory. Timing chips are used, with electronic checks at the start and on Cipressa and the Poggio di Sanremo. The organiser publishes a GPX file (the 2026 version is currently online) and warns of roadworks and traffic-light controlled single-lane sections.

¿Por qué montarlo?
The route follows the course of the Milan–San Remo classic from the Lombard plain to the Ligurian coast, and it ends over the same Cipressa and Poggio di Sanremo climbs as the professional race. The course crosses Lombardy, Piedmont and Liguria. The 2027 programme includes a dinner after bib collection near Milan and, at the finish, a pasta party and showers at Villa Ormond in Sanremo.
Dónde quedarse
The organiser’s website has pages for partner hotels and luggage transport. Its programme lists transfers from 17:30 to partner hotels in Sanremo, only for riders who booked their hotel through the organiser’s site, and a return bus to Milan at 20:00. Because bib collection is the day before the start, it makes sense to book the Saturday night near Settala and plan the return trip in advance.
