100% Half Platja D’aro
Description
100% Half Platja d’Aro will take place on Sunday, May, with start and finish in Platja d’Aro, on the Costa Brava, in the province of Girona. This demanding middle‑distance road‑cycling event has become a reference challenge in Catalonia, combining endurance riding with the varied landscapes of the Girona inland and coastal areas.
The route runs through the Costa Brava and the interior of Girona, blending Mediterranean scenery with mountainous terrain. Riders face a constantly undulating profile featuring sustained climbs, technical descents and quiet secondary roads, offering a balanced but demanding cycling experience in a spectacular setting.
The route covers approximately 123 km with around 1,800 metres of elevation gain, making it a true middle‑distance challenge designed for cyclists with good endurance and climbing ability. The combination of rolling sections and longer ascents demands solid pacing and resistance throughout the ride.
100% Half Platja d’Aro 2026 is a non‑competitive cyclo‑sportive event, focused on personal challenge, rhythm and controlled riding rather than racing. The course is designed to test consistency and stamina while allowing riders to fully enjoy the diversity of landscapes between sea and mountains.
With its high‑quality organisation, attractive route design and privileged location on the Costa Brava, 100% Half Platja d’Aro has established itself as a benchmark event for cyclists looking for a demanding yet accessible road challenge in one of Spain’s most renowned cycling regions.
