Club La Santa IRONMAN Lanzarote will take place on Saturday, May, on the island of Lanzarote, Canary Islands, with race start and finish centred in Puerto del Carmen. This iconic event celebrates its 34th edition and is widely regarded as one of the toughest and most legendary IRONMAN races in the world.
The race is set in Lanzarote’s unique volcanic landscape, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, where wind, heat and rugged terrain create an uncompromising challenge. The swim takes place over 3.8 km in the open waters of Playa Grande, followed by a demanding 180 km bike course with more than 2,500 metres of elevation gain, crossing iconic sections such as Timanfaya, Mirador del Río and La Corona. The event concludes with a 42.2 km marathon run along the coast, fully exposed to the elements and supported by strong local spectatorship.
Club La Santa IRONMAN Lanzarote is an official qualifying event for the IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua‑Kona, Hawai‘i, offering age‑group slots and attracting elite and amateur triathletes from all over the world.
