Epic Race Pontevedra

The course explores rural and mountainous areas of the province of Pontevedra, combining forest tracks, technical trails, long climbs and extended sections of remote terrain. Riders face a physically and mentally demanding environment where pacing, navigation and energy management are key, with large stretches far from urban areas that reinforce the adventure character of the event.

Epic Race Pontevedra 2026 offers three distance options, all ridden in a single stage. The longest Epic 300 km route features approximately 7,500 metres of elevation gain, designed for highly experienced riders seeking an extreme ultra‑endurance challenge. The Epic 200 km route includes around 4,500 metres of elevation gain, offering a demanding but slightly more accessible format, while the Epic 100 km route covers approximately 2,500 metres of elevation gain, allowing riders to experience the spirit of the event in a shorter distance.

The event is non‑competitive, focused on personal challenge, endurance and self‑management rather than racing against others. Time limits, elevation gain and route length make bike preparation, nutrition strategy and mental resilience essential to successfully complete the course.
