Description
Eroica Dolomiti will take place from September in San Candido (Innichen), in the heart of the Three Peaks Dolomites. This unique vintage‑cycling event brings riders from around the world to one of Europe’s most spectacular mountain regions, celebrating classic cycling, heroic effort and the beauty of the Italian Alps.
The event offers three iconic routes, all ridden exclusively on historic or vintage‑style bicycles, following the spirit and rules of the Eroica series. The 73 km Corto route is a scenic journey through Cortina, Passo Tre Croci and Lake Misurina, featuring around 1,258 meters of climbing with start times between 08:00 and 09:00. The 95 km Medio route is a more demanding ride that includes long gravel stretches and the climb to Prato Piazza at 2,000 meters, reaching approximately 1,870 meters of elevation gain. For those seeking the full Eroica Dolomiti experience, the 118 km Lungo route offers challenging climbs, historic gravel roads and a total ascent of about 2,740 meters, with an early start window from 07:30 to 08:00.
Participants ride through alpine valleys, crystal‑clear lakes and historic Dolomite passes, experiencing breathtaking landscapes along every kilometre. The event blends cycling, culture, gastronomy and vintage tradition, creating an atmosphere that makes Eroica Dolomiti one of the most unforgettable weekends of the cycling season.
Eroica Dolomiti is limited to approximately 500 participants, ensuring a personal, authentic and community‑focused experience. Riders enjoy feed zones, festival activities, vintage‑cycling exhibitions and the warm hospitality of San Candido and the Puster Valley.
