The event offers two distances: a 125 km route with 3,324 m of elevation gain and a shorter 59 km route with 1,845 m of elevation gain, both starting in Arucas. These routes include some of the toughest climbs on the island and are designed for cyclists seeking a major physical test. The longest route reaches altitudes of up to 1,915 m, with slopes of up to 23%, consolidating its reputation as one of the hardest ascents in Europe.
Participants will enjoy a fully signposted course, closed-road timed sections, mechanical and medical support, on-route assistance and event photography. The finish line awaits at the summit of Pico de las Nieves, offering one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Canary Islands. Registration fees start at €45 for federated riders and €55 for non‑federated riders, increasing closer to the event date. Each participant receives a race pack, bib number and a finisher medal.
Recognized by the UCI and praised for its unique high‑mountain environment, the Gran Fondo Pico de las Nieves is a must-do challenge for cyclists who want to push their limits while enjoying volcanic landscapes, pine forests, steep ravines and some of the most impressive terrain on the island. It stands as one of the flagship cycling events of Gran Canaria for the 2026 season.
