Description
La Purito Andorra will take place on August, inviting cyclists to experience one of the toughest and most iconic mountain sportives in Europe, created by former pro rider Joaquim “Purito” RodrĂguez. The event starts in Sant JuliĂ de Lòria and offers three demanding routes through the high mountains of Andorra. [
Participants can choose between 116 km, 75 km or 26 km, each featuring a selection of legendary climbs. The longest route includes up to six major climbs, reaching a total elevation gain of approximately 4,200–4,800 metres, depending on the final configuration published by the organisers. These climbs include La Rabassa–La Peguera, Coll de la Gallina, Alt de la Comella, Lake Engolasters, Collada de BeixalĂs and Coll d’Ordino, finishing in Encamp.
The event is described as one of the most enjoyable yet physically demanding cycling challenges in Europe, combining high‑mountain landscapes, steep gradients and a festive atmosphere that brings together riders from many countries. Participants also receive a full rider pack including a Santini jersey, ID bracelet, participant bag, mechanical support, medical service, feed zones, finisher medal and finish‑line meal.
Registration periods run until June 15, with tiered pricing depending on route distance. The start is scheduled for 08:00 from Plaça de la Germandad in Sant Julià de Lòria.
La Purito Andorra continues to be a bucket‑list challenge for cyclists seeking steep mountain terrain, professional‑level organisation and the unique chance to ride alongside Joaquim RodrĂguez on his home roads.
