Pedals de Clip is a classic cycling event held in Sant Martí de Sarroca, in the Penedès region of Catalunya. For the 2026 edition, the organization has not yet announced the official event date or the opening of registrations. External listings indicate that the date is still pending confirmation, possibly around September 26–27, 2026, but this information is not official.
The event celebrates vintage cycling and only allows pre‑1987 road bikes or modern bikes with retro‑style frames and vintage components. Riders are encouraged to dress in period clothing to help create an authentic classic atmosphere.
Pedals de Clip traditionally offers:
- 80 km long route
- 49 km short route
- 70 km and 59 km optional mixed routes
These routes pass through vineyards, rural paved tracks, and short dirt sections typical of the Penedès landscape.
Although details for 2026 are not yet confirmed, previous editions included the Chronoescalada, a two‑kilometer time‑trial climb to the Castle of Sa Roca. Registration packages in earlier years have included wine, refreshments, gifts, and finisher medals.

Sant Martí Sarroca sits in the heart of the Penedès wine country, and the start area is a quiet one, so most riders choose to base themselves on the nearby Costa Dorada and drive up on the morning. Arriving the day before lets you collect your number without rushing, give a vintage machine a final check and get to the start line early, with the coast offering an easy place to recover afterwards.
Altafulla Mar Hotel – Altafulla, about 34 km from the start. A four-star beachfront hotel with Bronze Cycling Friendly certification, it offers secure bicycle parking, final adjustments and bike cleaning, so a period bike is stored safely and ready for the start. Picnic menus, a gym, two pools and meeting rooms for pre-ride briefings make it a relaxed, sociable base for a group of riders.
Tamarit Beach Resort – Tarragona, about 35 km from the start. This five-star seafront campsite with bungalows has a dedicated cycling centre where you can wash, install and safely store your bike, plus repair tools, mechanical aid and route information. After the ride, laundry, massage, a pool and the beach make recovery easy, and it suits families or groups travelling together.
