Description

20230118091648 quebrantahuesos 2023 engThe Quebrantahuesos is one of the most renowned cycle touring events in Spain. Its 2025 edition is scheduled on 21 June, starting at 7:15 am and finishing at 7:30 pm. Starting and finishing in Sabiñánigo, the event crosses towns such as Jaca, Canfranc, Laruns, Panticosa and Biescas.

How can I register for Quebrantahuesos 2025?

Due to the high registration demand for the cycling event, participation is subject to a lottery, with one registration per person for one of the two options, Quebrantahuesos (200 km) or Treparriscos (the younger sister of this event, 85 km). If you are one of the winners of a lottery place, the registration fee ranges between 90 and 108 euros. Cyclists who have participated fifteen times or more in the Quebrantahuesos automatically have a place, without the need to participate in the lottery.

For the 2023 edition of Quebrantahuesos, registration by lottery is already closed and assigned, but you can get one of the available places without lottery thanks to our Quebrantahuesos 2025 Pack, with guaranteed place and accommodation included from 569 euros per person.

If you are registered for the Quebrantahuesos, you can pick up your bib number the day before the start of the event from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and the same day of the race until an hour before the start.

Why participating in Quebrantahuesos?

Participating in the Quebrantahuesos is participating in a historic cycling event that aims to preserve its essence, far from competitive desire and with the sole purpose of reaching the finish line and enjoying a cycling day.

When is the 2023 edition of Quebrantahuesos scheduled?

The 2023 edition of the Quebrantahuesos is scheduled on June 17, returning to its usual date after the 2022 edition was postponed to September.

Distances and routes?

La Quebrantahuesos has two classic distances: Gran Fondo, with a 200 km route that leaves more than one person exhausted behind, and the Medio Fondo, known as Treparriscos, 85 km distance.

Quebrantahuesos includes 4 iconic climbs in the Aragonese and French Pyrenees: Somport, Marie Blanque, Portalet and Hoz de Jaca. Four giants with a the total altimetry of 3,500 m. In the case of the Treparriscos, the climb takes in the Potefablo and Petralva.

How should I train for Quebrantahuesos?

Talking about La Quebrantahuesos is talking about a cycle touring event of huge words. It is a long-distance Gran Fondo, and the climbs, perhaps not particularly steep but very long, can make some of the four ascents a bit of a drag for many. And as there are no ascents without descents, you should be well prepared for them, especially if you have to face some adverse weather conditions called rain, which has been present in previous years and that forces you to descend with certain caution.
