Teide 360
Description
Teide 360 is a long‑distance, non‑competitive cycling challenge that proposes a complete loop around Mount Teide in a single stage, offering a unique endurance experience in the heart of Tenerife. Recognised by the UCI, the event combines physical challenge, self‑management and respect for the natural environment in one of Europe’s most striking volcanic landscapes.
The route starts and finishes in Vilaflor de Chasna, the highest village in Spain, and takes riders across forest tracks, volcanic terrain and mountain roads that showcase the island’s remarkable diversity. Covering approximately 130 km with more than 3,700 metres of elevation gain, the main distance is designed for experienced cyclists, while alternative formats allow participation according to different skill levels and preferences, including MTB, gravel and e‑bike options.
Ridden under a semi‑self‑sufficiency format, Teide 360 encourages participants to manage their own pace, nutrition and effort, supported by strategically placed aid stations and safety controls. The event is known for its challenging profile, constant elevation changes and the sense of accomplishment that comes with completing a full circuit around Tenerife’s most iconic summit.
More than just a cycling challenge, Teide 360 offers an immersive way to discover Tenerife from a different perspective, blending sport, landscape and island culture. It has become a reference event for cyclists seeking a demanding but memorable experience in a destination renowned for outdoor sport and year‑round riding conditions.
