Description

The Triathlon Porto Colom will return in 2026, celebrating a new edition of one of Majorca’s most emblematic triathlon events. Set in the stunning natural surroundings of Porto Colom, the race features a swim in the calm waters of the harbour, a cycling segment that includes the iconic ascent to Sant Salvador, and a scenic run to the lighthouse.

Majorca continues to be a paradise for triathletes, offering sea, mountains, quiet roads and endless training routes. Every year, thousands of athletes choose the island not only to compete but also for their training camps.

If you haven’t visited Majorca yet or want to rediscover its highlights, we’ve prepared a free cycling guide with everything you need to know for training and racing on the island.

The Porto Colom Triathlon stands out for its long history, with more than two decades of editions, well before the boom of triathlon participation. Its setting in one of the island’s most beautiful coastal towns, combined with the demanding ascent to Sant Salvador, makes it an event difficult to resist.

The 2026 edition of the Porto Colom Triathlon is scheduled for April 12, 2026.

Distances remain true to the event’s tradition:

  • Swimming: 500 m and 1,000 m
  • Cycling: 50 km
  • Running: 5 km

Participants must complete two laps of each circuit, except for the swim.

The athlete limit remains 600 participants for the 55.5 distance and 300 for the 111. Registration is available on the official event website.

If you need a bike for race day, Cycling Friendly offers a wide selection of rental bikes with delivery options to your accommodation. Majorca also offers a wide range of cycling-friendly accommodations, equipped with secure bike storage, workshops, adapted meals and all the amenities needed for an ideal triathlete stay—whether you choose Porto Colom, Cala d’Or or nearby Santanyí.

Pre‑race tips:
April offers great conditions for outdoor sports in Majorca. Sea temperatures are still on the cooler side but manageable with a wetsuit. Days are sunnier and longer, though occasional rain may appear. Don’t forget to check the weather forecast in advance. Keep your bike well maintained, and if you’re staying in a Cycling Center, take the opportunity to get a professional tune‑up before race day.
