Gades (Cádiz) – Trebujena

The route begins between the castles of San Sebastián and Santa Catalina, distance: 115.25 km | elevation gain: 385 m, crossing the historic center of Cádiz with stops at the Museum of Cádiz, the archaeological sites of Gadir and the Roman Saltworks Factory, the Cathedral, and the Roman Theatre. From Santa María Beach, the bike lane leads out of the city toward the Bay of Cádiz Trail and the Santibáñez Trail, part of the EuroVelo 8 route.

The journey continues through San Fernando to the Zuazo Bridge, reaching Puerto Real via the Cañada Real. From there, it crosses the La Algaida-Los Toruños Natural Park to enter El Puerto de Santa María via its bike lane. The Old Rota Road connects to the Vía Verde Entre Ríos, leading to Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

The final stretch passes through the Monte Algaida Pine Forest and the Carril del Práctico, running parallel to the Guadalquivir River. A detour through the Palomares ring road and the viewpoint with the Tribute to the Mayeto, surrounded by farmland, marks the end of the stage in Trebujena.
