This itinerary will take you through the prestigious vineyards of southern Spain, exploring the regions of Montilla and Jerez. From La Mancha to Cordoba and crossing the Ronda mountain range to the picturesque beaches of Cadiz, you will cycle through magnificent landscapes of sea and mountains.
This exhilarating bike trip, accompanied by expert guides, will immerse you in the charms of Andalusia, revealing not only its exquisite vineyards, but also its fascinating history. You’ll discover the rich legacies of Cordoba’s Arab and Jewish neighborhoods, charming white villages, and vibrant culture that includes the artistic expression of flamenco. Our bike routes will follow well-maintained and easy roads, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery to the fullest. You’ll stay in stylish 4- and 5-star hotels in major towns, as well as charming country hotels in the quaint villages along the route.
This unique experience will allow you to taste the best of Andalusian cuisine, paired with excellent wines from the region. We will have a support van for specific sections and technical assistance, but the essence of the route will be lived on two wheels. The journey culminates in Jerez, where you will have the option to cross into Africa from Tarifa or explore the wonders of Andalusia, visiting cities such as Seville and Granada.

Itinerary
In the morning, our guide will pick you up with the van directly from your accommodation to depart early from Madrid to the southern city. We will make a stop in the land of Don Quixote, La Mancha, to admire the ancient windmills immortalized in the novel. If you prefer to explore the charming streets of Cordoba, you can also choose to take the high-speed train from Madrid in the morning and join our team in Cordoba in the evening.
A thousand years ago, Cordoba was one of the largest cities in the world and the capital of Muslim Spain. Today, Cordoba is famous for the iconic Mosque, which we will visit upon arrival, as well as other artistic and architectural treasures. The ancient Arab and Jewish quarters, with their narrow alleys, offer visitors a unique experience.
In the evening, we will immerse ourselves in Spanish culture with a tapas dinner.

After breakfast, we will travel by van from Cordoba to start our journey south, heading to the Sierra Subbetica Natural Park. This first bike excursion will allow us to explore the vineyards of the area and finally reach a traditional family estate in Montilla, which has been producing excellent wines and olive oil for generations. After learning some of the secrets of their trade, we will enjoy a private meal on the estate accompanied by delicious wines.
Then we will head to our next accommodation, a beautiful property located in a stunning rural area, where you can enjoy fantastic views, a charming pool, and options such as Arab baths and massages.

The Sierra Subbetica Natural Park is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in Andalusia. Today we will visit Luque, famous for the imposing ruins of its Arab castle, and Priego de Cordoba, known for its 17th and 18th-century palaces. We will make a stop to explore and enjoy the flowery streets of Priego de Cordoba.
Today is a day to enjoy the olive groves and quiet roads winding through the mountains as we pedal towards the Genil River Valley. We will conclude our journey in the charming village of Iznájar, by the lake, where we will enjoy lunch.
After lunch, we will head by van to the ancient and unique Ronda, located in a basin surrounded by mountains and standing out as one of the quintessential white towns. We will spend the night in a magical place with mountain views and dine in the city.

After breakfast, we will leave the hotel for a spectacular route through vineyards and olive groves. We will stop in the picturesque village of Setenil de las Bodegas, famous for its intricate urban structure, declared a Historic Ensemble, with its center embedded in the gorge formed by the Guadalporcún River as it passes through the city.
We will conclude our route at a winery in the Sierra de Ronda, where we will enjoy a visit and tasting of various wines before lunch. The return to the hotel will be by van, although those who wish to add a few extra kilometers to today's route can choose to return by bike.

Accommodation: Villa Jerez
We will start the day on the bike with stunning views of the mountains, passing through the charming villages of Benaoján and Montejaque. We will enjoy a long descent with spectacular views of the Zahara reservoir before reaching the village of the same name for lunch. Zahara de la Sierra stands out as "the viewpoint village" due to its location on Mount Jaral, over 500 meters high, offering balconies with wonderful views of the Sierra de Cádiz and the reservoir, which on clear days seems tinted turquoise.
After lunch, we will transfer to the hotel in Jerez de la Frontera, considered one of the most important coastal cities in the heart of Andalusia, between Jerez and Seville. Jerez is known for classic Spanish and Andalusian elements such as flamenco, Sherry wines, and exquisite cuisine.
Tonight, we will enjoy a group dinner in a splendid setting, followed by a flamenco show.

Today, we will explore the Sherry wine region by bike, passing through vineyards and along the coast. We will visit the historical monuments of Jerez and the famous Tío Pepe winery before returning to the hotel in Jerez. Dinner will be free in the city.
After breakfast, our journey concludes.
We recommend continuing your exploration of Andalusia, visiting the cities of Seville and Granada, and passing through Tarifa, from where you can even travel to Tangier, Morocco.
