La Ventera – cycling hotel

La Ventera is a hotel for cyclists. It’s a small hotel with a big passion for the local area and for cycling. We only have room for 12 cyclists at the hotel, and our hotel is run by a small danish/spanish family. We are not trying to be something smart, something fancy or something exclusive, but we wan’t our guests to feel at home and relaxed from the very first second.

Our guests need to use all their energy on the mountain roads and when they are at the hotel before and after cycling our setup and chill atmosphere will help them enjoy their vacation even more. Even though it is a small hotel there is a lot of areas to hang out and enjoy the weather and calm surroundings.

The hotel has:

• 5 rooms with their own bathroom.
• 12 individual beds or 6 king size beds.
• 1 reception/bar/coffee shop.
• 1 bar for the guests of the hotel. A grab yourself bar with snacks, beers, wine, nutrition and more.
• 1 livingroom with dining tables, couches and 55″screen with Chromecast for guests to use and games to play.
• 2 terraces. One small one outside the coffeeshop and a big one next to the living room.
• 1 garage for bicycles. Located next to the big terrace and from the garage you can easily enter the mountain road.
• 1 garden with orange, mandarin and lemon threes. Perfect for a gin tonic.

La Ventera is just a great place to have your base while riding the incredible climbs in the area. There is breakfast included in the price and furthermore we offer:

We are simply a hotel for cyclists and only cyclists. We opened up in march 2022 and we love when cyclists from around the world visits us. The area is fantastic to ride, but it is tough. There are almost no flat kilometers, so if you come here it is because you want to ride mountains. We have climbs just nearby that are 20 kilometers long but off course also shorter. The roads here are great but the most positive thing here is, that there is almost no traffic. You can ride a 10-20 km long climb and only meet one car, two cyclists and man on a horse. It is incredible.

We are located just outside the village Gualchos, where you can find a bar, a small supermarked, a pharmacy and a church. Everything you need through a whole life 🙂 There is also a small bnb in the village, and if you are a group bigger than 12 persons, the extra cyclists can sleep at the bnb and still have meals and social life at La Ventera. The bnb is only a 5 minute walk away. From La Ventera to the beach there is 6 km downhill, and the nearby bigger cities are Motril and Granada.
