Description
The Sportful Dolomiti Race is a road gran fondo that starts and finishes in Feltre, in the province of Belluno, Veneto. The organiser’s regulations list the next edition, the 32nd, for Sunday 20 June 2027. Riders are timed by DATASPORT with a disposable chip built into the race number, and the regulations describe a moving cordon: the space between the “begin race” and “end race” vehicles is closed to normal traffic. Two routes are offered, a Granfondo of 204 km and a Medio Fondo of 125 km (figures per the organiser’s 2027 regulations and the tour-magazin.de announcement).
Routes and distances
Both routes share the start in Feltre and the finish in Piazza Maggiore, in the historic centre.
The Granfondo covers 204 km with 4,900 m of climbing. The climbs, in order and per the organiser’s climb list, are Forcella Franche, Passo Staulanza, Passo Duran, Forcella Aurine, Passo Cereda and Passo Croce d’Aune.
The Medio Fondo covers 125 km with 2,600 m of climbing. The regulations list feed stations at Forcella Franche, Passo Cereda and Sorriva.
On the Granfondo, the first feed station is at Forcella Franche (km 41.7), followed by Forcella Staulanza (km 90.5) and Passo Duran (km 111.2). The second half of the day is a run of passes: Forcella Aurine, Passo Cereda and a feed station at Sorriva (km 180.3) before the last climb, Passo Croce d’Aune, which goes past the Tullio Campagnolo monument. The finish is in Piazza Maggiore, where hydration is offered.
The Medio Fondo is a shorter way through the same terrain. The San Martino tourist board listed it in 2025 over Forcella Franche, Forcella Aurine, Passo Cereda and Passo Croce d’Aune; the 2027 course may differ, and the 2027 altimetry is published only as an image.

Practical notes: the regulations give the start as 7:00 in Via Campogiorgio, Feltre, with the starting grid opening at 5:30. The maximum time is 12 hours 30 minutes, so riders must finish by 7:30 pm. There are two cut-offs, 10:15 at Miotte (Rivamonte Agordino) and 14:30 at Agordo (Valcozzena junction); the regulations do not say which route each applies to. Riders who pass a cut-off late are out of the race and must remove their race number. Riders resident in Italy need a certificate of fitness for competitive sports, and riders resident abroad need a competitive-cycling certificate in English or French on the organiser’s form. GPX and TCX files are offered as zip downloads on the route pages, but the ones we saw were uploaded in 2025 and may not match the 2027 course.

Online registration for 2027 is open through Datasport. Why ride it
The Granfondo packs six named climbs and 4,900 m of ascent into 204 km, per the 2027 announcement and the San Martino tourist board. Both routes start and finish in Feltre, with the finish in Piazza Maggiore in the historic centre. The last climb, Passo Croce d’Aune, goes past a monument to Tullio Campagnolo, the organiser’s route page says.
Where to stay
We do not yet list a certified cycling-friendly hotel within 40 km of the start in Feltre. The organiser’s site has a Hotel and B&B page and a bib-and-hotel package sold through the San Martino di Castrozza tourist board (APT), which is worth checking if you want to arrange your stay with the event. If you are planning your trip, browse more cycling-friendly accommodation and book early, because rooms near the start fill up.
