Valle de Villaverde – Plazas de Toros
Description
Cycling route for MTB starting in the Cantabrian enclave of Valle de Villaverde and passing through seven bullrings built next to churches or hermitages.
It was a tradition in the west of Enkarterri to build these small bullfighting arenas to liven up the pilgrimages after mass.
Today we find them in the Villaverde Valley and in neighboring municipalities, such as Artzentales, Karrantza, Sopuerta or Turtzioz.
