SELECCIÓN TOP TENERIFE: Vuelta a Tenerife

Mareas Ideales para Lecciones

Do you like extreme challenges and do you dare to go all the way around the island of Tenerife?

If you answer positively to both questions and you are in very good physical condition, you can try to take on the challenge of completing the entire round of Tenerife, almost 300 kilometres and, especially, more than 6,300 metres of positive height gain.

We leave from the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, along the Carretera General del Sur, with views of the sea on your left.

We will go down to Playa las Américas via La Camella to avoid the heavy traffic.

We’ll then take a short flat ride along Costa Adeje or Playa San Juan, until we start the climb from Los Gigantes via Tamaimo (1st) to Santiago del Teide. After another small pass, we descend via Masca and Cruz de Hilda to Buenavista del Norte.

We are in the north of the island and after climbing Las Cruces or La Guancha, both 2nd category, we will look for the roads with less traffic to cross La Orotava, take the service road from La Victoria to El Sauzal, and climb El Boquerón (3rd) after passing Tacoronte.

We will ascend Anaga and Pico del Inglés via Pedro Álvarez (2nd category) to complete the return trip by descending El Bailadero.
