ADAC Velotour – Skyline
Description
The Skyline is the Velotour’s short route: about 40 km in 2026, running through Eschborn, Frankfurt and Oberursel. The organiser describes it as suited to beginners, and it is the option for riders who want the city atmosphere of the Eschborn-Frankfurt weekend without the Taunus climbs.
You start in Eschborn and ride into Frankfurt, where the skyline gives the route its name. The course then heads out through Oberursel; here, where the longer routes turn right towards the Feldberg, Skyline riders go straight on towards Oberhöchstadt and make their way back to Eschborn.
The organiser sets a minimum average speed of about 20 km/h on this route, and the elevation gain is shown only as a profile image on the official page. Official GPX and points-of-interest files for the 2026 route are available for download.
