ADAC Velotour – Taunus Classic

Description

The Taunus Classic is the longest option: about 97 km in 2026, and the route the organiser says most starters chose that year. It combines the Großer Feldberg with the Mammolshainer Stich.

From Eschborn the route runs through Frankfurt and out through Oberursel, where the long routes turn right towards the Feldberg. The organiser publishes no length or gradient for the climb, but times it: in 2026 the Tissot King of the Mountain took 24:43 and the Queen of the Mountain 28:52.

After Schwalbach, where the Express heads back towards Eschborn, the Classic carries on over the Mammolshainer Stich before returning to Eschborn. The organiser’s pages give differing minimum average speeds for this route (25 and 27 km/h), and the organiser’s FAQ lists feed stations on the long routes. Official GPX and points-of-interest files for the 2026 route are available.
