Description
Challenge Mogán 2026 will take place on April, in the municipality of Mogán, in the south of Gran Canaria. Part of the international Challenge Family circuit, this event opens the European triathlon season and has become one of the most attractive early‑season races due to its climate, setting and high‑level organisation.
The race is based at Anfi del Mar, where both the start and finish lines are located, creating a compact and vibrant race environment by the sea. Challenge Mogán offers two main formats: a middle‑distance race featuring a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike and 21.1 km run, and a short‑distance option designed for athletes seeking a more accessible challenge.
The cycling course stands out for being fully closed to traffic, combining coastal roads with technically demanding inland sections that climb into Gran Canaria’s volcanic interior. Together with calm ocean swimming conditions and a coastal run, the course delivers a fair, honest and scenic racing experience appreciated by both professional and age‑group athletes.
With its mild spring temperatures, international atmosphere and reputation for quality, Challenge Mogán 2026 continues to consolidate its position as one of the reference triathlon events in the Canary Islands, attracting athletes from all over Europe and beyond for a complete sporting and destination experience.
