Description
Desafío Doñana will take place on, February, starting in Seville and finishing on the Atlantic coast, after crossing the unique natural landscapes surrounding Doñana National Park, in southern Spain. This iconic event is considered one of the most distinctive cycling challenges in the Spanish calendar, combining sport, adventure and territory in a single route.
The course follows a point‑to‑point itinerary that runs through rural areas, pine forests, sandy tracks and protected natural environments, offering a completely different cycling experience from traditional mountain or road events. The route is mostly flat but demanding, where surface variations, distance and pacing play a key role.
The full route covers approximately 120 km, ridden mainly on gravel and unpaved tracks, making it accessible to MTB, gravel and e‑bike riders. Rather than elevation gain, the challenge lies in endurance, energy management and the ability to maintain rhythm across long, exposed sections.
Desafío Doñana 2026 is a non‑competitive cyclo‑sportive event, focused on participation, endurance and collective experience rather than racing. The crossing of protected natural areas, carried out under strict environmental controls, gives the event a strong identity linked to sustainability and respect for the territory.
With its unique route, coastal finish and strong connection to one of Europe’s most important natural parks, the Desafío Doñana has established itself as a reference event for cyclists looking for an original and memorable challenge beyond conventional mountain or road formats.
