Granfondo Il Lombardia – 2026 route
Description
The 2026 route of the Granfondo Il Lombardia started in Bergamo and followed the flat roads west through Curno, San Sosimo and Caprino Bergamasco before the real work began at San Gottardo. From there the timetable shows 11.7 km of climbing to the Valico di Valcava, the highest point at 1,336 m, around km 33.
A long descent through Costa Valle Imagna and Bedulita leads to Almenno San Salvatore, Villa d’Almè and Sedrina, hometown of Felice Gimondi. After Zogno and Endenna the road climbs 10 km to Miragolo San Salvatore (950 m) and on to Passo Salmezza (1,098 m) at about km 83.
A short drop takes riders to Selvino, then the road falls 11 km to Nembro. The finish is the last 8 km up to Bergamo Alta. The organiser gives 108 km, 2,400 m of climbing and a maximum gradient of 17% for the 2026 edition.
