Rhön-Radmarathon – Tour E
Description
Tour E is the extreme option of the Rhön-Radmarathon: 258 km with about 4,700 m of climbing in 2026, starting and finishing in Bimbach. The organiser’s description names these climbs: the Milseburg, Ellenbogen and Weidberg, then the ascent to the Hochrhön from Hausen.
Also on the route are the climb to the Hochrhön from Ginolfs, the Totnansberg and, at about km 198, the Große Nickus. The route avoids the hardest part of the Kreuzberg climb, as it does not go as far as the monastery. The last checkpoint is at Buchenrod, before the run back to Bimbach.
In 2026 the organiser stressed that the GPX file is for information only: signage on the day is authoritative because the course can change at short notice. The event is not timed and is explicitly not a race.
