The “Ruta de las Cuevas” (Caves Route) is a scenic gravel loop starting and ending in Ribadesella. It explores the rural surroundings of the town, passing through areas such as La Guertona and near local landmarks like “Galletas de la Abuela.” The route is named after the prehistoric and natural caves found in the region, some of which are close to the path or accessible via short detours.

With a total distance of just under 15 km and 302 meters of elevation gain, this route offers a balanced mix of effort and enjoyment. It includes two main climbs and several rolling sections, making it ideal for intermediate gravel riders.
