Challenge Paguera Bike Circuit

Description

Ascents and descents, very fast and demanding sections … one of the most demanding routes, as many have just started training for one of the most important triathlons on the island, the Challenge Paguera!

Routes and climbs: Paguera – Travessera de ca´n Sec – Es Capdellà – Calvià – Santa Ponsa (Son Bugadellas) – Palmanova – Magaluf – Son Ferrer – Santa Ponsa – Paguera.

A demanding route with a few flat meters. We leave the transition zone with an ascent to Capdellà, through the Travessa de Ca'n Sec to Calvia. It's a very fast section with two steep slopes that are easy to cycle thanks to the inertia. Then from Calvià to Coll de sa Creu. Although we will not reach the starting point of the ascent because the turning point is before the section with the steepest slope, we will gradually accumulate meters of positive slope.

The fastest part of the route undoubtedly starts at this turning point, the path that takes us to the triangle of Santa Ponsa, Palmanova and Magaluf and a 150 meter descent to sea level.

A winding and technical road in the first section and a spacious road for excellent cyclists in the Palmanova and Magaluf regions.

Then through Son Ferrer with "wrong" plains and small slopes to Santa Ponsa, but also with some steep slopes, a real challenge for our legs.

Before we finish the route, a difficult section for our legs … on the way to Paguera, on the bike path parallel to the highway, there is an ascent of one kilometer and a 10% slope to the fastest part of the entire route; a descent to Paguera, where you can reach speeds of 60-70 km / h. Then we start the second route again … or cycle to the second transition if we have already completed it.
