L’Eroica – Medium Route Crete Senesi

The Medium Route through the Crete Senesi covers 132.5 km with 2,327 m of climbing, with departures between 06:00 and 07:00. Of the total, 51.7 km (about 39%) is on white road and 80.8 km on asphalt.

The course passes through the medieval village of Buonconvento, and the organiser names food stops at Radi and Castelnuovo Berardenga among its four refreshment points. The one climb it singles out is Monte Sante Marie, where the route page advises staying on the pedals rather than standing out of the saddle.

Do not underestimate it: the organiser says times can run beyond 10–12 hours. In 2026 it was the most popular route, with 2,046 riders out of 8,245 starters, according to the post-event report.
