R02 TRAIL DE LA SIERRA DE JACA

Circular MTB route from Jaca with a high proportion of singletrack on both climbs and descents. Only the strongest riders will be able to complete the first trail climb from Fuenfría to the Fontazones estate, which leaves us at the top of the Oroel pass. 

From there, we continue along a track until joining the long and beautiful Pereretas singletrack on Mount Sesún that takes us to the start of the descent.

Here the bravest will tighten their gloves and helmets to enjoy a fast descent with natural berms down to the ruins of the Torre del Moro, a site of landscape and cultural interest. We finish the descent at the picnic area next to the Camino de Santiago.

The second singletrack climb will be easier and more gradual and will take us to Punta Batosa with lovely views over the San Juan de la Peña area. The descent follows one of the trails most valued by local cyclists, mostly easy, very flowing and with natural berms that will leave you wanting to ride it again.

This is an MTB route recommended for enduro fans because of the flow of its two descents, but any cyclist can ride it without much technical preparation, although good fitness is needed since the trail climbs are tough. It is also highly recommended on an E-bike.
