Etapa 8 Montsec Bikepacking Loop

We will start our journey from Camarasa, following the course of the Segre River for a few kilometers. At this point, we will abandon the asphalt to take a dirt road that ascends to Vilanova de la Sal. When we arrive in Vilanova de la Sal, we will go towards the path that leads to the Montalegre hermitage. If the idea is to spend the night in this area, a few kilometers later we will find the XUT refuge. We will return along the same path to Vilanova de la Sal and then continue in the north direction towards Santa Linya. After a pronounced descent to a ravine, we will explore the Cova Gran de Santa Linya and ascend through a steep slope to the town. We will go to the Mirador de Lo Balconet, a must, then continue towards Les Torres del Cas, from where we will enjoy panoramic views of the Vall d’Ager. We will finish our route descending to the rule, remembering to have caution when crossing the road twice. Once in àger, we will conclude this sector of the crossing.
