Zierbena – Punta Lucero

Starting from La Cuesta de Zierbena neighborhood, where the Town Hall and the church of this coastal town are located. The trail to Punta Lucero is perfectly signposted by green arrows placed at ground level, so you can't get lost. Shortly after the exit we will find a fountain, turn left and start the ascent facing the sea.

The Cima de Punta Lucero (summit) is not very high (307 m), but it offers us privileged views of Playa de La Arena (the largest beach in Bizkaia) and is dotted with war remains, such as bunkers, tunnels and cannons. Most of them date back to World War II, fearing an Allied incursion.
