Zierbena-Santurce-Puente Vizcaya-Getxo-Bilbao-Barakaldo

Road cycling route from the Puerto de Zierbena, along both banks of the Ría de Bilbao. (estuary). From Santurtzi towards Portugalete crossing the emblematic Puente Colgante (Hanging Bridge) to the Barrio de Las Arenas.

Once in Getxo, the road descends towards Bilbao, where it changes again to reach Barakaldo.

It is a route of changing landscapes and realities: the Puerto de Zierbena, with its traditional maritime charm; the industrial spaces that in the recent past have multiplied next to the Ría; the wide promenades and the bourgeois mansions of Getxo; and the landscapes forged by mining that characterize Meatzaldea and set it apart from the urban fabric of Greater Bilbao.
