SELECCIÓN MTB TENERIFE: El Sauzal – Pino Alto – Aguilillas

Tenerife offers us the opportunity to experience some very unique mountain routes with landscapes that seem to be from another world.

On this route, we leave the municipality of El Sauzal, with a first part on asphalt, always looking for very secondary roads.

We will face the ascent through Pino Alto, with some very hard previous ramps that can exceed 20%. We continue on tarmac roads but we are about to enter the dirt tracks that will accompany us for a large part of the route.

The Las Palomas Special Nature Reserve awaits us so that we can continue to enjoy this combination of tracks with vegetation, earth and volcanic rock.

We enter one of the flattest parts of the route, although we will not stop facing small ascents and descents, along the Pista el Rayo.

We reach the Pista de las Calderetas, where we can stop for a break in the recreational area, before descending back down to El Sauzal again on small secondary roads with concrete and asphalt
