SELECCIÓN TOP TENERIFE: Fasnia – La Zarza – Las Eras

The south of Tenerife also offers many options for you to enjoy high quality road cycling routes.

The route starts in the municipality of Fasnia, from where we will soon leave the Carretera General del Sur to climb towards La Zarza. It is a demanding climb, although not very long, and with horseshoe bends that will allow you to see the sea and a spectacular panoramic view.

We go down through La Sombrera towards Icor, from where we take the TF-622, a road with very little traffic that allows us to enjoy the descent practically down to sea level, in the town of Las Eras.

This is the moment to enjoy some flat kilometres, parallel to the sea, along the service road, which has practically no motor vehicle traffic.

We will have to recover the 450 metres of altitude of Fasnia, and we will do it through the Camino de la Iglesia Vieja, with very demanding ramps and with 2.6kms at an average of 11.5%, for a strong finish before the end of our route.
