SELECCIÓN TOP TENERIFE: Guía de Isora – Teide

Description

In this route for road bikes we will complete the ascent to the Teide by one of its best known slopes, via Chío.

We will leave Guía de Isora already adding metres of positive height gain. A special category pass awaits us ahead, with more than 38 kilometres at an affordable 4.3% average.

And the fact is that, in this ascent, the hardness does not lie in the ramps, but in the altitude that we accumulate, in which we will reach more than 2,300 metres, and the length of the pass.

We will pass by viewpoints such as Boca Tauce or Chinyero or, if you want to take a detour, you can also go to the Chirche viewpoint.

We will reach Las Cañadas and our well-deserved photograph crowning one of the most mythical passes in Europe, with a short stop at the cable car cafeteria.

From there we will have a very long descent of almost 50 kilometres, towards Vilaflor, Arona and Costa Adeje, before facing the last stretch again with positive slopes until we return to Guía de Isora.
