SELECCIÓN TOP TENERIFE: Los Silos – La Montañeta – Masca

On this road cycling route we will visit some of the most beautiful climbs in the north of Tenerife.

We leave from the municipality of Los Silos in search of the Las Cruces pass, a second category pass of 7.1 kilometres with an average of just under 7%. A singular ascent due to its very steep horseshoe bends that will allow you to enjoy spectacular views while you dose your effort.

We descend to Los Canales to start climbing up to La Montañeta. We raise the level a little with a first category pass, with 11.6 kilometres at a gradient of 6.3%.

We will now go to an altitude of more than 1,000 metres, with a small descent from San José de los Llanos to Santiago del Teide. There is a short climb on the other side of Masca, via the Mirador de Cherfe, but only 2 kilometres long, before descending the Masca wall. In this case, a snake with a great negative gradient, and with views that every cyclist should experience at least once.

After passing some small steep slopes through the Teno Rural Park, we will descend Cruz de Hilda, through Las Portelas and El Palmar to Buenavista del Norte, where we will take the Camino la Montaña to minimise traffic and finish our route.
